The Protective Field of Covenant and the Resistance of Earth
More and more, we witness a distinct spiritual reality: when people truly invite Jesus into their lives and experience a breakthrough, the enemy often doubles down on them.
Why does this happen? The negativity and spiritual opposition operating on earth are frequently overwhelming, and the enemy attacks everyone who seeks to walk in the light. This is precisely why covenant is so vital.
When we ascend in prayer and spiritual alignment, there is a divine, protective field placed around our souls. That covenant relationship with Jesus is what provides the spiritual armor and authority required to navigate and leave this fallen earth.
Because God desires relationship with all of His children above everything else, He experiences immense joy when we choose Him—and immense sadness when people reject His covenant. All He wants is intimacy and connection with the people He created.
Have you ever wondered why faith and answered prayers sometimes take time to manifest on earth, whereas in heaven, everything is instantaneous?
The reason faith takes time here is because we must trust Jesus to break us through the thick layers of earthly resistance while He orders our steps. On earth, we contend with the friction of a fallen system and the opposition of the enemy.
In heaven, however, faith is rewarded immediately because there is a total absence of evil and resistance in heavenly places. As Jesus promised: Ask, and it shall be given to you.
Rest securely in your covenant today. Let Him break through the resistance, knowing that your soul is guarded by His protective field as you walk out His perfect plan.
Expecting Opposition: When the enemy doubles down after a breakthrough, do you panic, or do you recognize it as evidence that you are walking in true spiritual victory?
Guarded by Covenant: Are you relying on the protective field of your covenant with Jesus to shield your soul from the overwhelming negativity of the world?
Enduring the Resistance: Are you trusting Jesus to break you through earthly resistance step by step, keeping your eyes fixed on His immediate rewards in heaven?
Father, thank you for the absolute Truth of your Word and the protective field of covenant you place around our souls. Forgive me for becoming discouraged when the enemy pushes back after a breakthrough. Give me the patience and faith to trust you as you break through the resistance of this earth, ordering my steps day by day. Thank you that you desire deep relationship with us above all else. In Jesus' name, amen.
