Level Up vs. Living Death
When the Holy Spirit enters us, something profound happens: He starts working immediately. We often do not realize it right away, but God is so vast that He builds people and orchestrates situations over decades, centuries, and millennia. He carefully weaves the lives of eight billion people, all with free will, to complete His perfect, absolute plan.
Think about the undeniable precision of God’s timeline. A thousand years before Jesus arrived, Psalm 22 detailed His crucifixion. When Jesus was born, King Herod tried to eliminate Him, but God orchestrated a manger in Bethlehem completely out of Herod's reach. Jesus was then refined in obscurity for thirty years, leading to a three-year ministry that permanently changed the course of human history. To this day, the Bible remains the highest-selling and most printed book of all time because it is the living, absolute Truth.
Despite this divine perfection, we often grow impatient. We want things right now. We pray for things that are not in His will, or if they are, we try to force them on our own timeline. When we step into our own will and achieve our goals through deceptive or worldly means, there are severe consequences. Those actions serve to poison the soul—and a poisoned soul cannot enter heaven. This path of striving and fleshly pursuit is not life; it is a living death.
However, when we earnestly repent, the Holy Spirit gives us a clean slate. A massive shift occurs: we start to trust Him implicitly. Praying for our own will becomes entirely secondary. As we read the Word and learn His character, we simply seek to become more like Him. That relationship becomes more than enough, and everything else is just a bonus.
Have you ever asked Him to share His heart with you? I guarantee that if you ask Him this, there is no turning back. No bank account, private jet, or beachfront property could ever compare to the infinite value of that relationship.
This is what a true "level up" is. Every time we draw closer to Jesus, we level up in the Spirit. The ultimate byproduct is that we no longer live merely to fight the enemy; we learn to thrive without striving. Talk to Him today. Ask Him to share His heart with you.
The Impatience Check: Where are you trying to force an outcome in your own strength rather than trusting the God who orchestrated history over millennia?
The Heart Shift: Are your prayers mostly a list of demands for your own will, or are you asking Jesus to share His heart with you?
The Valuation Test: Do you genuinely value your relationship with the Holy Spirit above worldly wealth, status, or comfort?
Father, thank you for the absolute Truth of your Word and the perfection of your timing. Forgive me for my impatience and for the times I have tried to force my own will, risking the poison of worldly striving. Cleanse my soul and give me a fresh slate. Jesus, I am asking you today: please share your heart with me. Let me feel what you feel and see what you see. I want to level up in the Spirit by drawing closer to you. Teach me how to thrive without striving, and let my relationship with you be my greatest treasure. In Jesus' name, amen.
