If you have stopped the outward behavior but your heart is still harboring a grudge or clinging to a "right" to be offended, you are still living in a house that hasn't been fully swept. Unforgiveness acts as a legal foothold for these spirits to return. To be clean is to evict the intruder and invite the King to occupy the room.

The old proverb "cleanliness is next to godliness" is often relegated to simple hygiene, but its spiritual root is much deeper. It speaks to a state of alignment. To be "godly" is to be like God. When we are aligned with Him, we naturally begin to mirror His nature.
