Becoming a Noticer (Part 1) — Divine Moments
The Holy Spirit teaches and communicates with us across many different frequencies, and one of His favorite instruments to work through is time.
Time builds deep, unshakeable conviction in a believer. When we look back over the landscape of our lives, certain moments stand out—specific memories, lessons, and experiences that seemed ordinary or random when they happened, only to become critically vital decades later.
Nothing in God's economy is wasted. Perhaps it was a passing tip about survival you watched on a television show years ago, which suddenly surfaces in your mind at the exact second your car breaks down on a desolate highway. You didn't orchestrate that memory; the Holy Spirit brought it forward at the exact moment of need.
Or perhaps God places you right at the center of what could have been a catastrophic situation for someone else. Because you walked through that specific fire years ago and survived it through His grace, you are able to recognize the warning signs immediately. You can step in, point out the trap, and prevent severe harm from befalling another person.
When you go through hardship, confusion, or refining seasons, the enemy wants you to believe it was pointless suffering. But God often brings you through the storm so that you are equipped to ensure others never have to walk through that same darkness alone.
Your past trials become assignments for someone else's rescue. Your refined discernment becomes a shield for the vulnerable. When you start noticing how every detail of your life has been calibrated by the Father, you begin to see the beauty of His sovereign timing.
His ways are entirely divine, and the absolute Truth remains: He never changes His mind.
God is simply too vast, too brilliant, and too eternal for the finite human consciousness to ever fully comprehend. We do not need to figure out every mechanism of how He operates; we simply need to become “noticers” of His hand at work. There is profound, deep comfort in knowing that the God who holds eternity in His hands is directing every single second of your life with flawless precision.
The Memory Check: What is a past experience, trial, or random piece of knowledge that God unexpectedly brought back to your memory to help yourself or someone else?
The Divine Rescue: Have you thanked God for using your past pain as a tool to protect others from falling into the very same traps?
The Comfort of His Vastness: Are you trying to figure out God's entire plan with your own limited mind, or are you resting in the comfort that His divine ways are far beyond human comprehension?
“Father, i thank you for the absolute perfection of your timing. thank you for teaching me and speaking to me across time, using every memory, trial, and lesson to build unshakeable conviction in my heart. give me the eyes of a ‘noticer’—help me to see your divine hand at work in every detail and circumstance of my life. use the things you have brought me through to protect and minister to others who are struggling. i take total comfort in knowing that you never change, and that your ways are far beyond my human understanding. i surrender my timeline to you, trusting that you order my steps with flawless purpose. in Jesus' name, amen.”
